Australian Red Cross Blood Service found that one of the biggest challenges they were facing was an ever shrinking number of young university students donating blood. The solution DDB created was the ‘Recharge Your karma’ campaign. It played on the theme that even if you had done something wrong you could make up for it by donating blood. The campaign was so effective in getting students to sign up it ran nationally in several major university campuses.
